What do we expect out of a cell phone?

I joked with a friend the other day while we were driving that soon cell phones will also have built in radar detectors. Imagine getting into your car, plugging your phone into a cord on your dash board, that will not only make the phone hands-free, but play music, and catch police radar.

Well I don't think we are quite there yet, but the cell phone is evolving into the all in one gadget we all desire (or at least most guys desire.)

The thing to watch these days as you buy a new sophisticated phone, is all the additional fees. The phone may only cost $150-$300, and the service may only cost $29-$79 a month, but how much does each side item cost? You may end up paying an extra $200 a month for texting, ringtones, online browsing, pic messaging, picture storage, video,TV, music, not to mention my favorite...roaming.

Beware of the "Nickle and Dime" approach.
